Step into the role ofTechnology Manager here at Joules Head Office!

Lead manage and develop a team of garment technologists ensuring all products meet the companys quality fit and compliance standards from development through to production. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement coaching and training team members and conducting regular one-to-one meetings to support performance skill growth and professional development.

What to expect on a day to day basis:

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead motivate and support the garment technologist team to deliver on company quality and fit standards.
  • Alongside the Compliance and quality manager set clear objectives KPIs and performance expectations for the team.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings performance reviews and personal development plans.
  • Identify training needs and provide technical coaching skills workshops and mentoring.
  • Foster a collaborative supportive and solution-focused team culture.
  • Manage team workload allocation ensuring projects are delivered on time.

Technical & Product

  • Ensure that the teams are conducting seasonal fit reviews.
  • Support the team with resolving complex technical or quality issues liaising with suppliers factories and internal teams engaging key stakeholders when relevant.
  • Support team to drive innovation in construction methods materials and sustainability practices.
  • Understand core volume line programmes across the business and support the teams with quality control and risk assessment processes.
  • Oversee and support the implementation of processes ensuring internal teams and suppliers are updated and clear.

About You:

From a technical and operational perspective it would also be advantageous if you have:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in garment technology fashion technology or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience within a Technologist role with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of managing fit processes from concept to production.
  • Experience working with offshore suppliers and factories.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation product testing and compliance standards.
  • You must be a strong team player.
  • Excellent garment construction and fabric knowledge across multiple product categories.
  • Proven ability to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Highly organised detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear confident communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with a continuous improvement focus.

Where will you be working

This is a full time role based at The Barn - Joules purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough Leicestershire. This role is office based working onsite as we believe this is where we make the best decisions together.
