DescriptionHousing Services Clerks provide exceptional customer service at the desks in the Residence Halls and package pick-up centers.
We are seeking candidates who have open availability including the ability to work 5pm-8pm shifts Monday to Friday and weekend shifts 11am-5pm. Applicants must be able to return to Tampa and work during Grand Opening week starting on August 16 2026 through August 23 2026.
Additional Information for Applicants:
We are looking to hire Clerks to start in the Summer or Fall of 2026. Training will take place in March and April 2026.

ResponsibilitiesDuties:
Desk Operations
- Provide exceptional customer service at the 3 Housing & Residential Education Service Desks desks (Juniper-Poplar Holly M or The Village).
- Answer phone calls provide guests (faculty staff students parents visitors) with information take messages forward calls etc.
- Act as a first responder to emergency situations and call the appropriate staff member to assist.
- Responsible for checking in/out keys and activating/deactivating card access to residence halls.
- Responsible for checking in/out equipment such as moving carts.
- Be alert to any situation or condition which requires attention: inform the Operations Assistants Supervisors Residence Hall Staff or University Police as appropriate.
- Be flexible and willing to cover shifts for other Housing Services Clerks.
- Return early for the opening of the residence halls each semester and work until closing of the halls each semester.
Mail Operations
- Provide exceptional customer service at the package pick-up centers (Juniper-Poplar; Holly H).
- Answer phone calls provide guests (faculty staff students parents visitors) with information take messages forward calls etc.
- Assist with the student mail (answering questions deliver mail check out packages etc.)
- Contact residents regarding perishable or urgent packages.
- Work with various package carriers to ensure that packages/mail are verified logged and delivered to residents at the package pick-up center in a timely manner.
- Keep package pick-up centers clean and organized.
- Be flexible and willing to cover shifts for other Housing Services Clerks.
- Return early for the opening of the residence halls each semester and work until closing of the halls each semester.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled USF student.
- Graduation date of December 2026 or later
Preferred Qualifications:
- On-campus living experience at the USF-Tampa campus.
- Must be able to work at least six hours a week.
- Flexible hours during University Breaks Closures and Holidays
- Must attend all scheduled trainings/meetings.
