Position Summary
The Department of Surgery within the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) is seeking a highly qualified Breast Surgeon with a commitment to serving underrepresented and minority populations. This full-time position will be based at our major affiliated teaching hospitals with an appointment at the Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will play a vital role in advancing equitable healthcare access and will demonstrate a passion for providing culturally sensitive patient-centered care for diverse communities. Overall duties include: Serving as attending physician for inpatient breast surgery services Providing consultation treatment and follow-up for patients with a focus on addressing the unique healthcare needs of underserved populations Teaching and mentoring residents fellows and medical students with an emphasis on cultural competency and inclusivity Engaging in clinical and basic science research as well as participating in clinical trials that promote advancements in breast surgery and health equity Learn more: Being a part of the University at Buffalo community. Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a MD DO or equivalent degree and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Breast Surgery. Fellowship training in Breast/Oncologic Surgery.
