Wayman Education is delighted to recruit a committed Year 2 Teacher for a busy primary school in Watford. The successful Year 2 Teacher will deliver a sequenced Year 2 programme secure fluency in reading and mathematics and lead SATs preparation where required. The appointed Year 2 Teacher will work closely with phase leaders design targeted interventions and use assessment effectively to accelerate progress. The Role
As Year 2 Teacher you will plan engaging daily lessons lead small-group work track pupil progress and report to parents. The Year 2 Teacher will design activities that meet a range of needs support transition into KS2 and liaise with TAs and the SENDCo. The appointed Year 2 Teacher will be expected to take up post in January 2026 and to contribute to curriculum planning from January 2026. This role is based in Watford and will involve collaborative work with colleagues across the school.
Person specification for the Year 2 Teacher
QTS/PGCE and proven experience teaching Year 2 as the Year 2 Teacher.
Strong subject knowledge in early reading writing and number for the Year 2 Teacher.
Excellent communication assessment and behaviour-management skills for the Year 2 Teacher.
Able to start January 2026 in Watford.
