Description
In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients and healthcare teams ensuring high standards of care in obstetrics and gynecology. Your expertise will not only help improve patient outcomes but also enhance the overall quality of care provided in the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as required
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in case discussions and patient management meetings
- Stay updated with the latest medical practices and technologies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Ob/Gyn is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Active medical license in the state of Iowa
Schedule: 24-hour in-house call shifts 7a-7a
Setting: 8-bed OBED
Annual Volume: 1390 OBED visits 460 deliveries
Duties: OBED visits emergent deliveries and patients without a primary OB/GYN; no GYN duties
Support Staff: MFM on call residents
Imaging lab and pharmacy onsite
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
