Senior School Faculty (Science & IB Chemistry)

Ashbury College is a leading not-for-profit independent day and boarding school for students in Grades 4 to 12 located in Canadas capital and the traditional unceded territory of the Anishinàbe Algonquin Nation. We achieve these through a community of employees volunteers and students who cultivate and celebrate diversity and in central Ottawa Ashbury College is currently seeking a Senior School Science and IB Chemistry Teacher for a fixed-term contract of approximately one year. We are seeking someone who:brings enthusiasm and a high degree of creativity to each class they teachconsistently identifies ways to integrate technology into the curriculum enjoys collaborative teaching regularly incorporates inclusive teaching practices in the classroom andis passionate about experiments and education experience and qualifications include the following:Member in good standing with the Ontario College of . or teaching Ontario science of teaching enhanced by organized with excellent attention to detail. Demonstrated experience communicating with students parents/ commitment to enriching whole school life for students including promoting pluralism and enhancing student of Knowledge (TOK) teaching experience is an language fluency is an asset as is international experience and fluency in other responsibilities include:Teach full-time (5 classes).Lead and participate in co-curricular a Teacher Advisory on-call teaching as participate in Department meetings faculty teaching and learning opportunities and whole school College provides a competitive compensation package including participation in the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan.
