Clinical Staff Pharmacist Acute Care Hospital (13-Week Contract)

A well-established community hospital in northern California is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week acute-care assignment. This role supports medication verification sterile and non-sterile preparation clinical reviews and collaboration with the inpatient care team. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical and operational pharmacy services within an acute-care hospital
- Verify medication orders for accuracy safety and therapeutic appropriateness
- Prepare compound and dispense medications in accordance with regulatory standards
- Monitor pharmacotherapy plans and adjust based on labs patient status and clinical guidelines
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with medical nursing and ancillary teams
- Perform medication reconciliation and support transitions-of-care workflows
- Respond to medication-related inquiries from providers and clinical staff
- Document clinical interventions and maintain accurate pharmacy records
- Ensure compliance with internal policies formulary guidelines and quality standards
- Support antimicrobial stewardship and other clinical initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Active unrestricted California Pharmacist License
- PharmD or BS Pharmacy required
- Recent acute-care or community hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of sterile compounding EMR systems and hospital medication-use processes
- Strong communication clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a 13-week full-time assignment based in northern California within a community acute-care hospital. Weekly pay range is $3000$3300. Specific shift details will be discussed during the interview process.
