Clinical Staff Pharmacist Acute Care Hospital (13-Week Contract)

A well-established community hospital in northern California is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week acute-care assignment. This role supports medication verification sterile and non-sterile preparation clinical reviews and collaboration with the inpatient care team. Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive clinical and operational pharmacy services within an acute-care hospital
Verify medication orders for accuracy safety and therapeutic appropriateness
Prepare compound and dispense medications in accordance with regulatory standards
Monitor pharmacotherapy plans and adjust based on labs patient status and clinical guidelines
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with medical nursing and ancillary teams
Perform medication reconciliation and support transitions-of-care workflows
Respond to medication-related inquiries from providers and clinical staff
Document clinical interventions and maintain accurate pharmacy records
Ensure compliance with internal policies formulary guidelines and quality standards
Support antimicrobial stewardship and other clinical initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

Active unrestricted California Pharmacist License
PharmD or BS Pharmacy required
Recent acute-care or community hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of sterile compounding EMR systems and hospital medication-use processes
Strong communication clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities

Work Environment & Schedule
This is a 13-week full-time assignment based in northern California within a community acute-care hospital. Weekly pay range is $3000$3300. Specific shift details will be discussed during the interview process.
