- Pulsed Power Systems
- High Voltage Electronics
- Liquid Metal Systems
- Fusion Plasma Diagnostics
- Capacitor Bank Design and Testing
- Electromagnetic Interference Mitigation
- Vacuum and Insulating Systems (e.g. SF6 polymers ceramics)
What You Might Work On
Depending on your background and interests you may contribute to:
- Designing and testing pulsed power components and systems (e.g. Marx generators spark gap switches capacitor banks)
- Developing mechanical assemblies for high-voltage fusion experiments
- Supporting fusion plasma diagnostics and data acquisition systems
- Collaborating on the design and operation of next-generation Z-pinch fusion devices
- Working with high-voltage safety protocols and lab testing procedures
