Available Pediatric Nursing Units:
- General Pediatrics (Blank 3): Caring for children with a wide range of medical needs including respiratory illnesses gastrointestinal disorders infectious diseases post-operative recovery and chronic health concerns
- Pediatric Oncology (Blank 4): Supporting children and familieswith a wide range of medical needs with a specialized focus on pediatric hematology and oncology.
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): Providing specialized care for our tiniest patients including premature and critically ill infants from birth to discharge
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU): Delivering critical care for seriously ill or injuredinfants children and adolescents with traumatic injuries life-threatening illness or following major surgery
- Pediatric Emergency Department: Fast-paced environment for urgent and emergent pediatric care
What Were Looking For:
- Current RN license (or eligibility)
- Pediatric experience preferred but we welcome nurses eager to learn

Full-Time or Part-Time Nights 36 hrs/week 7pm-7am every 4th weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities
- Assesses the needs of patients and families providing appropriate teaching and making the necessary referrals to provide continuity of care.
- Develops an individual plan of care using a collaborative approach with the patient/family and health care team.
- Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patients care.
- Delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit in accordance with established policies procedures and standards of care.
- Utilizes holistic approach (considering biopsychosocial spiritual educational safety and related criteria) appropriate to the age of the patients and families served in the assigned service area.
- Delegates and provides direction for other healthcare team members within their scope of practice and holds them accountable for their involvement in the plan of care.
- Utilizes critical thinking in developing nursing interventions while maintaining responsibility and accountability for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
Experience:
- Minimum of six months acute RN experience.
