The pay range for this position is $54485 - $95575 in accordance with the terms of the DTA collective bargaining and Curriculum Development:Develop and deliver engaging age-appropriate lesson plans covering essential life skills such as personal finance management food preparation health and hygiene time management communication skills and curriculum and instructional materials to meet the specific learning styles and cognitive levels of each current technology and adaptive equipment to enhance instructional strategies and student Education Program (IEP) Management:Develop implement and monitor progress toward specific IEP goals and objectives for each ongoing formal and informal assessments of student achievement and use data to inform instructional accurate and complete student records and documentation in compliance with legal and district Support and Behavior Management:Create a safe supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and positive social positive behavior management strategies and individual behavior plans including intervening in crisis situations if support with personal care needs (e.g. feeding toileting hygiene) as outlined in student and Transition Integration:Organize and supervise community-based instruction and activities such as shopping using public transportation or visiting community resources to provide real-world practice of job readiness training and coordinate work experience job shadowing or volunteering with community agencies counselors and social workers to connect students and families with additional support services for post-school and Communication:Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress challenges and cooperatively with other staff related service providers (e.g. physical therapists occupational therapists speech therapists) and administrators to deliver comprehensive programming.
