Job Summary

St Leonards College invites expressions of interest for Casual Sport Coach positions to support the development and performance of our sporting teams. The College is a member of the Association of Co-educational Schools (ACS) and coaching roles are offered on a casual basis based on fixtures the College timetable and our carnival and house sport programs.

Students across Years 512 participate in a range of sports including AFL Badminton Basketball Cricket Futsal Hockey Lawn Bowls Netball Soccer Softball Table Tennis Tennis Touch Football (Years 56) and Volleyball. We also seek experienced Track and Field coaches for our athletics program.

Coaches report to the Head of Sport and work across the Brighton campus and external venues. Responsibilities include planning and delivering training sessions preparing teams for competition and fostering student development.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require:

Minimum level 0 coaching qualification
Current First Aid (HLTAID011) CPR and Anaphylaxis certifications
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students parents and staff
Excellent organisational planning and time-management skills
Previous experience working with young people in a sports coaching role
Knowledge of sports and sport skills
Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
