Job Summary
The Postdoctoral Scholar investigates the novel functions of autism spectrum disorder-associated genes in the blood-brain barrier.
Responsibilities
- Performs mouse brain surgery in vivo Ca2 imaging of the mouse brain.
- Performs behavioral testing using mice.
- Analyze data using statistical tools.
- Brain clearing and light-sheet imaging.
- Imaging using confocal microscopes.
- Gene cloning cell culture proteomics.
- RNA sequencing flow cytometry.
- Performs western blotting immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry.
- Writing manuscripts.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Skill in gene cloning proteomics confocal imaging brain surgery brain Ca2 imaging in vivo behavioral testing brain histology and computational/statistical analyses.
- Ability to work independently self-motivated and detail oriented.
WORK SCHEDULE:This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings.
