Description

The Postdoctoral Scholar investigates the novel functions of autism spectrum disorder-associated genes in the blood-brain barrier.



Responsibilities
  1. Performs mouse brain surgery in vivo Ca2 imaging of the mouse brain.
  2. Performs behavioral testing using mice.
  3. Analyze data using statistical tools.
  4. Brain clearing and light-sheet imaging.
  5. Imaging using confocal microscopes.
  6. Gene cloning cell culture proteomics.
  7. RNA sequencing flow cytometry.
  8. Performs western blotting immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry.
  9. Writing manuscripts.


Qualifications

EDUCATION:Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Skill in gene cloning proteomics confocal imaging brain surgery brain Ca2 imaging in vivo behavioral testing brain histology and computational/statistical analyses.
  • Ability to work independently self-motivated and detail oriented.

WORK SCHEDULE:This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings.
