The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a senior-level Budget Analyst who assists in the preparing allocating and monitoring of the agencys $1.6 billion annual budget. Reviews and consolidates a variety of financial data with team members. Generates ad hoc reports and maintains existing reports. Identifies investigates and seeks resolutions of anomalies/errors analyzes trends and creates monthly projections. Participates in the annual budget process provides valuable insights to support informed decision-making and executes the agencys budget.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. This position works in office full-time for at least 6 months prior to Hybrid schedule being submitted for approval.

| Job Duties: |
- Downloads validates compiles organizes and interprets data from the state financial system of record and other various sources
- Analyzes source data tracks and monitors expenditures reviews expenditure trends and calculates budget projections
- Cooperates in the production of reports such as the monthly Status of Funds report Quarterly Capital Outlay Report Annual Per Capita Report and the Annual Budget Request
- Prepares periodic and ad hoc reports
- Prepares fiscal impact analysis on proposed legislation
- Understands and completes the allocation and load of new budgets
- Drafts budget proposals for annual budget requests
- Provides technical support to program areas and complex business offices
- Attends required trainings and meetings
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

| Selective Preference(s): |
- At least three (3) year of governmental budget/finance experience OR completion of a financial degree from an accredited college or university

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).
In an effort to maintain a safe environment all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.
