The Position: Certified Utility Arborist

Type: Full-time

Pay: $38 - $42 per hour based on experience and certifications
Signing Bonus: Eligible team members can receive a $5000 signing bonus payable after 90 days of employment.

Work Shifts: Flexible with a minimum of 80 hours per shift.
Travel: Travel may be required around the Ottawa area

Equipment: Brand New Forestry Bucket Trucks with 12 Chippers 75 and 90 Backyard buckets.

Key Responsibilities:

Trim prune and remove trees or branches that pose a risk to utility infrastructure.
Use industry-standard techniques to safely remove trees without causing damage.
Operate equipment such as chainsaws pole saws aerial lifts chipper trucks and cranes.
Train and supervise crew members in safe practices around high-voltage equipment.
Maintain accurate records of vegetation management activities.
Document completed work for utility or regulatory compliance.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect nearby habitats.
Other duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Expectations:

Utility Arborist (must have 444B designation).
Valid Class D or DZ drivers or willingness to obtain.
Applicants must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.
