The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager to join our Children in Care Team who is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational business of the team providing leadership supervising a team of up to 8 practitioners supporting permanency and good outcomes for children who are in our care. Successful candidates will provide leadership to frontline staff and ensure effective working relationships with other parts of Childrens Services other Directorates and external agencies. The post holder will also have opportunities to be involved in regional developments and project opportunities.
This is a key role in ensuring the council delivers high quality services as Corporate Parents.

This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Valid driving licence and own transport or be able to provide alternative suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.
Work Style
