Role Summary:
The Central Processing Sterile Technician is responsible for cleaning sterilizing assembling and storing surgical instruments and equipment. This role ensures the operating team has the tools needed for safe effective patient care directly supporting the perioperative process and overall patient safety
Hours:
What Youll Do:
Clean inspect sterilize and package instruments and equipment according to standards
Assemble instrument trays and maintain accurate labeling and storage
Operate sterilizers washers and related equipment safely and effectively
Monitor and maintain sterile supply inventory; check for outdated or compromised items
Support patient safety infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives
Communicate effectively with teammates physicians and other staff
Maintain a clean orderly and compliant sterile processing work area
What Youll Bring:
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience in sterile processing preferred
CRCST certification
Current BLS certification
Strong attention to detail teamwork and communication skills
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
Frequent standing walking and lifting
Occasional stooping kneeling or climbing
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs)
Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens chemicals and sterilization equipment in a fast-paced environment
