CGI is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join an existing team supporting a Windows Server environment. Working within a highly experienced team the successful candidate will be able to contribute to the delivery and support of excellent quality system changes against customer requirements and responding well to change.
Please note due to the highly secure nature of the project this role is open only to UK Nationals who hold Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance and onsite attendance at the specified location(s) 5 days per week will be required for secure system access. Any individual without security clearance is welcome to apply and will always be considered for this or wider opportunities in CGI where appropriate.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Infrastructure Engineer will take responsibility appropriate to their seniority for the design and development of infrastructure changes whilst following a documentation-based approach to the system changes and updates. The ability to test their own and others work thoroughly is essential. We are looking for an individual who is pragmatic and delivery focused who can adapt as situations evolve who enjoys new experiences and is always wanting to learn new things.
Work as part of the infrastructure team to deliver new capability to the customer while improving earlier iterations of the system primarily managing existing system operations and on-site user management.
Implementation and testing of changes to live system
Configuration testing documentation and maintenance of Windows Server and Client Operating Systems on development systems as well as live client sites
Live site deployments of primary based core system at client locations/premises
2nd line support of live operational systems supporting users on any issue arising as no remote connection permitted
Produce and update of documentation to reflect standard approach to tasks and processes. Ensuring that the services and the processes match the documentation.
Build and unit test assigned work packages and deployments
Support User Acceptance testing system test and other assurance

Previous experience with secure environments
Experience with modelling complex systems
