The City of Seabrooks Public Safety Department is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to help support our police operations and ensure the smooth day-to-day flow of information. Records and Requests: Research compile and process record and court requests; manage correspondence through email systems such as JustFOIA and Crash Report.
Documentation and Reports: Assist with expunctions prepare and maintain accurate records and support documentation for department files.
Financial Support: Code invoices track expenses and ensure accuracy and compliance with budget allocations.
Customer Support: Answer phones respond to inquiries and provide helpful guidance to the public and staff.
Administrative Support: Coordinate communications maintain office files and perform additional administrative duties to keep the department running efficiently.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: At least one (1) year of prior administrative or office experience.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
This position is primarily office-based and may occasionally involve time in a stockroom setting. The role requires sitting standing and using standard office equipment for extended periods.
