Our client in Newport RI is seeking a full-time experienced Cook to join their team in their nursing and rehabiliation facility!
Position Overview:Cooks are responsible to prepare and serve meals in accordance with current applicable federal and state regulations and standards for long term care. The cook is responsible to prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus and therapeutic diets. The cook will perform and direct activities of the dietary staff to ensure timely efficient meal service in a safe and sanitary manner. Cooks must be Food Safety Certified and maintain a current license.
Schedule for Cook:- Two days 5AM-2:00 PM
- Remainder of shifts would be 11:00 AM-7 PM 9AM-7PM
Qualifications:- Valid Drivers License
- Serv Safe Certification
- Up-to-date Immunizations
- Pass Background Check & Pass Fingerprint
- MMR shots or titer
- Varicella shot or titer
- Tdap vaccine
Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve large quantities of food in accordance with planned menus and therapeutic diets.
- Supervise dietary staff to ensure quality of service.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Maintain temperature logs label and date refrigerated foods.
- Assist in the storage of supplies and food products.
- Complete daily and scheduled cleaning assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager.
