The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Nursing Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Department is seeking a non-tenure Assistant Professor. This position includes 95% clinical practice assignments at Le Bonheur Childrens Hospital which includes: planning and directing the delivery of healthcare to the orthopedic neuromuscular CP population. The incumbent will provide care and health education for patients and their addition 5% educational responsibilities in the College of Nursing will be determined in collaboration with Department Chair and Director of Advanced Practice.
EDUCATION: Masters Degree or higher in a nursing specialty from an accredited university required. (Doctor of Nursing Practice degree preferred.)
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of clinical practice experience at the RN level. (Experience in the role of an APRN preferred.)
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee required. Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary and/or Acute Care. Current DEA certification and must be certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
