The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for cultivating new relationships with customers while strengthening relationships with existing accounts.
Duties:
- Entering orders at the point of sale using the company computer system.
- Interacting with customers over the phone via email and in-person.
- Will work directly with Branch Managers/Inside Sales on developing and maintaining customer relationships
- Utilizing orientation to detail and organization skills to manage and increase sales with a high number of accounts
- Performing inside sales functions including sales calls order processing problem solving CRM entries and other assigned duties
- Maintaining and growing existing customer relationships
- Working with respective Branch Manager to evaluate sales goals and increase revenue
- Using organization skills and detail focus to manage customer accounts.
- Assist team members at branch with daily tasks
- Assume ownership of your accounts - maintain a sense of urgency with a customer- centric focus
- Create and strengthen relationships between you and customers
- Assist with our Credit Team to keep accounts in good standing leading to the perfect order-to-cash sale at our local branches
- Promptly write and enter orders with the intention of giving the customer everything they need to complete their job
- Understand how to sell and be an expert with our unique sales tools
- Continuously expand product knowledge in every product category
- Review Open Sales Orders and Open Credit Memo Reports daily.
- Follow up with customers and document conversations in the CRM. Service the order until it is invoiced or cancelled
- Quote prices to accounts as needed - verbally and formally through software. Complete material takeoffs and estimate projects
- Review Open Quote Report weekly. Follow up with customers and document in the CRM. Continue until the sale is made or the customer rejects the quote
- Communicate lost sales to competitors to your Area Sales Manager
- Share product information with customers including manufacturer installation instructions warranties and literature to enhance customer experience
- Participate in weekly sales meetings
- Attend trade shows industry association events and sponsored events as necessary
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Internet Word and Excel
- Must be detailed oriented possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be analytical and able to solve problems
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred but not required
- Able to a pass pre-employment drug test and background screening
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree preferred but not required)
- 1-2 years of sales experience required with demonstrated success in those products
- Experience with Landscape products preferred but not required
