Position Overview

We are seeking anexperienced Senior Detailer / Checkerto join a fast-paced and growing team. This role is critical to ensuring the highest quality standards in structural detailing and fabrication. Youll prepare and check detailedshop and erection drawingsfor PEMB systems collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams and ensure that all outputs meet stringent project company and industry standards.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment and has a passion for precision problem-solving and producing work that sets the bar in structural steel detailing.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparedetailed shop and erection drawing packagesfor complex PEMB systems including:
• Built-up beams & columns
• Hot rolled members
• Cold-formed C & Z members
• Sheeting trims and material lists
• Interpretarchitectural and structural drawingsand engineering notes to ensure design intent and specification compliance.
• Check and review other detailers drawings foraccuracy completeness and compliancewith project requirements and code standards.
• Collaborate with engineers fabrication teams and erection crews toresolve design issuesand optimize constructability.
• Utilize industry-standard tools such asAutoCADMetal Building Software (MBS)Tekla or similar programs for detailing and checking.
• Apply thorough working knowledge ofIBCAISC Steel ManualMBMA andAWScodes and standards.
• Maintain consistent quality and accuracy across multiple simultaneous projects meeting both production and schedule goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 15 years of recent experiencein steel detailing forPre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB)projects.
• Demonstrated expertise inchecking/reviewing drawingsproduced by other detailers.
• Advanced proficiency inAutoCADMBS and/orTekla(SDS/2 or similar software a plus).
• Deep understanding ofAISCMBMAAWS andIBCcodes and PEMB standards.
• Strong experience with complex detail conditions such as:
• Hip/valley conditions
• Crane systems
• Standing seam roof systems
• Mezzanines jack beams and canopies
• Ability tointerpret architectural and engineering drawingswith precision and efficiency.
• Excellent communication organizational and time-management skills.
• Proven ability to perform under deadlines in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withTeklaBIM Modeling orSDS/2.
• Previous involvement in creating or maintainingdetailing standards and manuals.
• Strong working knowledge of shop and field coordination processes.
