Job Summary

Amazon Industrial Robotics is seeking exceptional talent to help develop the next generation of advanced robotics systems that will transform automation at Amazons scale. We need engineers to help define the way we build and test our products and features in a start-up environment. You will be the quality advocate to enable delivery of high-quality software in collaboration with top-notch research scientists software developers and hardware engineers. Key job responsibilities
As a lab engineer you will be responsible for building and managing rapid prototypes and test equipment to support multiple areas of the program. An ideal candidate has a mix of skills and interests including networking IT mechanical engineering electrical engineering and software engineering and is interested in applying those skills to help build and maintain labs and test floors to develop and qualify a wide variety of products and technologies being developed at Amazon Robotics.

- 2 years of hardware development test lab space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
- Experience with network equipment installation and configuration
- Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings or experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S) DNS and TCP/IP

- Masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with lab safety security and quality practices
- Experience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipment
- Experience in system-level debugging
- Experience using one or more of the following technologies (e.g. AutoCAD Rhino Revit SolidWorks CREO SketchUp KeyShot etc.) to deliver high quality models and designs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
