PacAeros core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the worlds most extreme environments. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee WA with a remote manufacturing site Bonded Metals located in Sequim WA. Working together we employ proprietary technologies best practices engineering and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the worlds most extreme environments. PacAeros products are hard at work in medical components such as cardiac-function devices on key aerospace & defense programs in space and deep below the earths surface.

The Position:

Job Summary

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer plays a key role in bridging product design and manufacturing. This position is responsible for leading the transition of new products from concept and design through production ramp-up ensuring smooth launches that meet cost quality and delivery goals. The NPI Engineer works cross-functionally with the IPT (Integrated Product Teams) design operations process engineering supply chain and quality teams to develop robust processes and ensure manufacturing readiness for full-scale production.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 6am to 3pm (Salaried role- subject to change)

Primary Responsibilities

• Project Ownership: Lead and coordinate new product introduction efforts from prototype through production release.
• Process Development: Assist to develop and document manufacturing processes work instructions and test procedures for new products.
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Collaborate with IPTs and Operations to ensure products are optimized for efficient scalable manufacturing.
• Supplier Engagement: Work with supply chain and suppliers to source new components qualify vendors and ensure part readiness as needed.
• Validation & Testing: Working with IPTs and Operations plan and execute prototype/qualification builds including pilot and pre-production runs. Analyze results and drive corrective actions as needed.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain necessary documentation such as assembly instructions build notes process notes sketches etc.
• Continuous Improvement: In coordination with IPTs and Operations identify opportunities for process optimization cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary liaison between IPTs and Operations engineering quality and supply chain teams during new product launches.
• Risk Management: Assess production risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful product ramp-up.

• On-time and on-budget product launch metrics
• High First-Pass Yield percentages during pilot and ramp-up
• High yearly budget commitment to budget attainment ratios
• Production readiness and process capability (Cp/Cpk)
• Implementation of corrective actions and design improvements

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (or related field).

Experience:

• 37 years of experience in new product introduction process engineering or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with product launches in an aerospace defense energy or medical product environment preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of DFM DFMEA and process validation methodologies.
• Proficient in CAD and PLM systems (SolidWorks preferred).
• Proficient in Excel PowerPoint Teams.
• Strong understanding of MRP environments control systems.
• Experience with CRM software (i.e. Salesforce)
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing Six Sigma and quality tools.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages rations and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
