The Opportunity:

UCF IT is seeking an IT Project Manager III to lead and manage complex high-visibility technology initiatives from initiation through delivery and closure. This role will oversee multiple concurrent projects often spanning business units and serve as the senior liaison between business stakeholders technical teams and executive leadership. Additionally the position will support PMO development by mentoring project managers and driving process maturity.

Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope objectives deliverables schedules resource plans budgets and work breakdown structures.

  • Proactively identify and manage risks issues assumptions and dependencies.

  • Facilitate collaboration across teams including architecture development QA operations network and security.

  • Engage senior stakeholders (business IT vendors) to manage expectations resolve conflicts and ensure alignment.

  • Oversee vendor and third-party relationships including contracts deliverables and SLAs.

  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards templates and tools for all documentation (charters requirements test plans deployment plans lessons learned).

  • Lead full project life cycle for complex IT programs (software infrastructure integrations cloud migration enterprise systems).

  • Track project performance (KPIs milestones budgets) and prepare status reports dashboards and executive summaries.

  • Manage change control and governance including scope changes and approvals.

  • Mentor junior and mid-level project managers promote best practices and foster continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to strategic planning portfolio prioritization and capacity planning initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and 6 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of IT experience including at least 6 years in complex project/program management.

  • Proven track record managing large complex IT projects or programs with multimillion-dollar budgets and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong technical literacy across infrastructure software networks cloud and integrations; able to engage in technical discussions and decisions.

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall Agile Hybrid) tools and governance frameworks.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills including experience presenting to executive leadership.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead mentor and manage multiple concurrent projects.

  • PMP or equivalent certification (Prince2 PgMP PMI-ACP CSM) preferred.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts.

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business Administration or a related field.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $95000 to $ 110000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidates qualifications experience and internal equity considerations.
