What Youll Do:
As a Driver and Warehouse Associate you will perform Shipping Receiving and Driving activities ensuring safety quality accuracy and customer due date/output goals are met.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Loads/unloads trucks and stages material in the appropriate area safely to ensure complete on-time and accurate picking preparation and shipping.
- Drives box truck to make local deliveries ensuring safety quality accuracy and customer due dates are met.
- Prepares material on skids and shrink wraps to maintain the quality of the product and ensure the full order travels together.
- Confirms the count and quality of material and products being received or shipped to ensure integrity count accuracy and overall customer satisfaction.
- Stocks inventory and rotates stock as needed ensuring accurate inventory and warehouse location.
- Performs general housekeeping duties to ensure the warehouse is clean and in safe order.
Position Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or similar; will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 2 years of Warehousing or Driving experience preferred.
- Certifications: Valid Drivers License with a for hire endorsement.
- Functional Skills: Solid math planning organizing prioritizing and execution skills required; high attention to details and problem-solving skills.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Basic computer skills and ability to use or learn Microsoft Office products including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Language Skills: Basic verbal and written skillset; able to communicate with all levels inside and outside of the organization.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Demonstrates a high customer-service and support personality; flexible and adaptable; able to work independently and within teams; positive and optimistic; takes initiative and get things done; continuous learner; able to reflect and make well thought out decisions; strong relationship skills and ability to partner with other departments and customers.
- Culture Match Behaviors: Customer-oriented collaborative gets along well with others; yet be responsible to ensure the work is complete on-time and accurate.
Other Important Information:
Position Pay: Hourly pay; based on skills and experience.
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Core Hours: 6:00 am 5:00 pm (10 hours)
Typical Work Week: Monday to Friday; 40-50 hours per week.
Direct Reports: 0
Work Conditions: Warehouse Environment; ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Travel: Local travel to customers for deliveries in 26 ft Box Truck.
