Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated Prison Services Pharmacist to join the team at HMP ISIS in South-East London. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy services within a secure environment supporting offender health and wellbeing while ensuring safe and effective medicines management.
You will work closely with pharmacy technicians and healthcare teams delivering clinical services on-site and acting as the responsible pharmacist in the dispensary when rostered.
Key Responsibilities
Provide weekly clinical pharmacy services to allocated prison sites in line with SOPs.
Act as responsible pharmacist in the dispensary when rostered.
Conduct medication reviews MURs and support formulary compliance.
Collaborate with primary care teams to ensure safe prescribing and medicines use.
Monitor prescribing trends and contribute to clinical governance and medicines management committees.
Qualifications and Experience
Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Previous experience in clinical pharmacy (prison or secure environment experience desirable).
Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and formulary management.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
