Location: Based in Mount Isa Travel Required Across Lower Gulf Communities

Gidgee Healing is seeking a motivated and community-minded individual to join our team as a Regional Eye Health Trainee. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to improving eye health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across North West Queensland.
About the Role
As a Regional Eye Health Trainee you will:
- Assist in the delivery of culturally appropriate eye health services
- Support clinical teams during outreach visits
- Help coordinate patient transport and logistics
- Engage with community members to promote eye health awareness
- Participate in training and development activities to build your skills
Key Requirements
- Strong interest in health and community work
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to remote communities
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to cultural safety and respectful engagement
- Current drivers licence (essential)
- Blue Card
