Position Overview
Were seeking an Operations / Dispatch Specialist to support daily logistics operations dispatch drivers and help manage freight movement efficiently. This role is based in Clare MI with flexible 1st and 2nd shift availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and manage customer orders accurately
- Coordinate and dispatch loads to drivers
- Source and secure backhaul freight via load boards brokers and shippers
- Negotiate rates and manage load details for cost-effective operations
- Monitor market trends to optimize truck utilization
- Communicate with drivers and customers to ensure timely deliveries
Qualifications
- Dispatch or logistics experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
- Strong communication negotiation and organization skills
- Self-motivated detail-oriented and able to multitask
