Description

As an Advanced Mechanical Engineer - Conveyor System Design and Estimating here at Honeywell you will come to work with a collaborative cross-functional team that is designing and innovating and delivering high-quality solutions to enhance customer experience and drive business growth. You will report directly to our Senior Application Engineer Supervisor and youll work out of our Mason OH location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role you will collaborate with both sales and customers to understand project requirements then meet those needs through mechanical designs for both new conveyor systems and modifications to existing systems. You will take ownership of your design throughout the pre-sale process coordinating a cross-functional team through cost estimating proposal document creation and leadership approvals.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate customer needs to usable design requirements
  • Design systems utilizingHoneywell standard offerings and outside purchased products
  • Balance design optimization with customer budgetary constraints
  • Ensure cost and schedule estimates are consistent with historical company performance
  • Assist in writing proposals that are both technically correct and easily readable by customers
  • Support Sales in customer meetings throughout proposal cycle


Qualifications

Must Haves

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering or science technology engineering or mathematics
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the material handling industry
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
