Senior Project Manager – Electromechanical or Hardware Product Development

StarFish Medical is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex electromechanical product development projects from concept to manufacturing.

We design and build medical devices laboratory equipment and other advanced hardware systems that integrate mechanical electrical and software components. Candidates from the medical device robotics aerospace automation instrumentation or automotive industries are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end product development of complex electromechanical systems.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical electrical software and design).
• Ensure projects meet scope schedule and budget targets.
• Oversee design reviews risk management and regulatory compliance (ISO 13485 or equivalent).
• Support manufacturing transfer including ECR/ECO processes and vendor management.
• Partner with clients to align technical decisions with their business goals.
• Contribute to PMO improvement and mentor junior Project Managers.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Electrical Mechatronics or related field.
• 10 years of experience in project managing electromechanical or hardware product development.
• Background in regulated industries (medical aerospace automation or similar).
• Strong understanding of system integration product realization and design transfer.
• PMP certification is an asset not required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
