Join Our Team as a Security/Orderly Officer Support Safety and Care in a Dynamic Health Environment
Play an important role in maintaining a safe supportive and respectful environment for patients staff and visitors. As a Security/Orderly Officer youll be part of a dedicated team ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the Health Unit where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a difference.
About the Role:
As the Security/Orderly Officer youll provide a range of duties encompassing both security and patient care contributing to the effective and efficient functioning of the Health Unit. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients in ways that ensure the safety and well-being of all in line with hospital policies and procedures. Youll also play a key role in managing and de-escalating situations involving aggressive or agitated clients supporting a calm and safe environment for everyone.
Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team youll apply sound judgement effective communication and appropriate methods and equipment to support the safety comfort and dignity of patients and staff alike.
What Were Looking For:
- Current South Australian Security Agent Licence
- Demonstrated experience in security roles.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with a wide range of people including the de-escalation of violent aggressive and/or agitated people.
- Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft 365.
- Demonstrated experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.

- DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
- National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
- Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
