We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing this vital role you will be responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of machinery and equipment used in our production processes. Your expertise will ensure optimal machine performance safety and efficiency across the plant. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment including hydraulic systems programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic issues using schematics technical manuals and analysis skills.
- Repair or replace faulty parts using welding (including welding) precision measuring instruments and industrial mechanic techniques.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools such as ammeters ohmmeters low voltage testers and high voltage testing equipment to diagnose electrical problems.
- Conduct field service activities on machinery located throughout the manufacturing facility ensuring minimal downtime.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders track maintenance history and schedule future tasks.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery to improve productivity and safety standards.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols related to HVAC/R systems scissor lifts and other industrial equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to support manufacturing operations and provide technical sales support when necessary.
- Support training initiatives for team members on maintenance procedures and safety practices related to industrial equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial mechanic work and troubleshooting complex machinery.
- Familiarity with schematics technical manuals PLC programming and electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage components.
- Experience working with hydraulic systems HVAC/R systems welding (including welding) and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Ability to read blueprints schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to perform analysis skills for diagnosing issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service mindset when supporting internal teams or external field service tasks.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Industrial electrician experience is a plus; military background in technical roles is advantageous.
- Valid certifications for operating scissor lifts or other industrial equipment are preferred.
