Job Title: Medior Data Integrator

Location: Anderlecht (Hybrid minimum 2 days/week onsite)
Contract: 6-month initial contract with possible extension

About the Role

For our client active in the insurance sector we are looking for a Medior Data Integrator to strengthen clients data capabilities. With an increasing focus on cloud data advanced analytics and machine learning this role will help build a solid technical foundation that supports the organizations digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Tasks

• Collect consolidate and prepare data to support the organizations data initiatives.

• Design develop and maintain Cloud Data Architectures (AWS and/or Azure) aligned with global data governance standards.

• Translate business and IT strategy into scalable cloud architectures supporting organizational goals.

• Analyze and document client requirements and translate them into actionable technical deliverables.

• Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.

• Draft and maintain technical documentation including specifications and user guides.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system integration and delivery.

Secondary Tasks

• Support your manager throughout project setup deployment and evaluation phases.

• Perform quality assurance and end-user testing.

• Document testing results and improvement actions.

• Apply lessons learned and best practices after each milestone.

• Contribute to team development through knowledge sharing training and coaching.

Technical Skills & Experience

• 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.

• Strong experience with Big Data technologies such as Python Spark Hive etc.

• Good knowledge of SQL and database technologies.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and DWH-on-Cloud solutions.

• Familiarity with data orchestration/scheduling and ETL tools.

• Experience with data modelling (Star Schema or Data Vault) is a plus.

• Agile mindset and understanding of data analytics and data science concepts.

AWS Skills

• Experience with AWS CloudFormation CDK or Terraform.

• Familiarity with Step Functions AWS Orchestrator Airflow or Kubernetes is a plus.

• AWS Solution Architect Associate or Data Engineer Certification preferred.

Azure Skills

• Hands-on experience with Azure Administration.

• Certifications such as AZ-104 (Admin) or DP-203 (Data Engineer) are preferred.

• Knowledge of CI/CD principles infrastructure as code and orchestration tools.

• Experience with Azure Data Factory Microsoft Fabric and ARM templates/Terraform.
  

Education & Certifications

• Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Certifications in Agile and/or ITIL Foundation are an asset.

Languages

• English: Fluent (required)

• Native Dutch or French with a good knowledge of the other language
