DescriptionThe Assistant Director of Compliance assists the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance in all aspects of NCAA compliance operations.
ResponsibilitiesAssist Associate Athletic Director for Compliance with the institutions NCAA compliance operations with emphasis in the following areas:
- Updating and monitoring student-athlete information in NCAA Eligibility Center NCAA Compliance Assistant ARMS and Banner
- Supervision of National Letter of Intent program
- Annual coaches recruiting test/certifications
- Recruiting processes and forms including NCAA transfer clearinghouse verification of transfer academic year in residence campus visits (official and unofficial)
- Assistance at Player Pass Gate for home football games
Monitor initial eligibility and amateurism certification of incoming student-athletes with NCAA Eligibility Center including:
- Send Head Coaches or designee weekly progress reports
- Communicate with coaches and/or incoming student-athletes any issues with initial eligibility and/or amateurism
Enhance Compliance Education with the following constituents:
- Athletics Personnel (coaches athletics staff student-athletes managers directors of operations and volunteers
- Records Financial Aid & Admissions compliance liaisons
- Boosters/Fans
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Knowledge of NCAA Compliance Assistant and LSDBI
- Knowledge of ARMS Compliance software
- Knowledge of Banner
- Knowledge of Southern Conference rules regulations policies and procedures
- Familiarity with commercial compliance tracking software
- Must possess strong communications skills both oral and written
- Ability to maintain positive relationships constituencies and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work under pressure multi-task and meet deadlines

QualificationsMinimum: Requires a bachelors degree and 1-3 years of NCAA compliance experience within the previous five years (internships experience included).
Preferred: A masters or JD degree and NCAA compliance experience at a NCAA Division I institution or conference level is preferred.
