Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Finance Manager to lead our Shipping Finance team at Pitney Bowes SendTech. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning analysis and reporting with specific expertise in the shipping logistics and/or technology industries. Familiarity with Essbase Anaplan and/or Workday Adaptive Planning is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Daily/Ongoing Tasks:

  • Collaborate with product management sales operations and billing teams to conduct business case analysis and answer financial reporting queries.
  • Evaluate and create PCN structures and drive process improvement projects to enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Update business service product mapping and set up ShipAccel reporting processes.

Weekly Tasks:

  • Review revenue dashboards to identify revenue risks and opportunities versus forecasts.
  • Attend weekly meetings for Expedited services.

Monthly Tasks:

  • Conduct month-end close reviews including actuals and forecast analysis coordinate with accounting when adjustments are necessary
  • Prepare an updated forecast and communicate risks and opportunities.
  • Prepared shipping slides for Board Meetings and full global shipping and sub-product financial packages to key business partners
  • Update KPI metrics and analyze material movements to determine underlying root cause

Quarterly Tasks:

  • Provide detailed support for internal close meetings auditor reviews and town halls.

Annual Tasks:

  • Lead long-term planning and annual budget processes including setting calendars modeling key financial metrics and supporting communication of financials and key assumptions.

Pricing Responsibilities:

  • Attend periodic pricing meetings and review pricing requests.
  • Conduct P&L analysis for large deals and review contract documents for accuracy.
  • Lead quarterly pricing committee meetings and review SaaS pricing proposals annually.

Client Operations Expense Management:

  • Provide insights and answer questions from the management team.
  • Present financial performance during monthly operations reviews.

Team Management:

  • Manage one employee and one contractor providing coaching and mentoring to support their professional development and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of financial planning experience including budget development forecasting and actuals analysis.
  • Familiarity with Essbase Anaplan and/or Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Industry background in shipping logistics and/or technology.
  • Strong analytical communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex financial processes.

Location:

This is a hybrid role with 4 days in the Shelton CT office required. (No relocation assistance offered.)
