The Clinical Placement Coordinator in theSchool of NursingOffice of Clinical Placement (OCP) works with Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students to support the students required clinical practicum and DNP Project experiences. The Clinical Placement Coordinator is dedicated to supporting students by developing and implementing plans for clinical placements by reviewing program and student clinical site requestsfacilitatingdocument collection and approvals andidentifyingavailable site mentors/preceptors. The Clinical Placement Coordinator proactively communicates with students to ensure understanding andtimelycompletion of required compliance documentation and approvals andassistsstudents throughout their program to keep the requirements and approvals current.
Work will be performed on the UW Milwaukee campus with requests for remote work considered after the initial training period.
Monitor and ensure all site mentors/preceptors have submitted required documents and have access to required systems.
Work collaboratively with other Office of Clinical Placement staff and management as well as practicum leads graduate program manager and DNP program leadership.
Responsible for ongoing outreach and development of clinical sites and mentors/preceptors which have been identified by student School market research or administration.
Proactively partner with students to determine and identify best placement options.
Work proactively with students to ensure all necessary health and safety documentation is uploaded and approved in required systems.
Responsible for managing and tracking student clinical experiences and compliance.
Counsels students on expectations requirements and guides students to appropriate resources.
Manage and track the Affiliation Agreement legal review with Affiliate Coordinator and the legal departments of the site.
The target hiring range for this position is $55000-$65000. The final offer will be contingent upon the knowledge skills and abilitiesdemonstratedthroughout the selection process.
Bachelorsdegree.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications.
Strong written communication skills.
Mastersdegree in nursing business management health administration education or other health professions related field.
Two years experience in clinical practicum/field experience placement for healthcare professions or other related fields such as social work education business or similar.
Prior experience withExxatPRISMTyphonor Viewpoint systems.
