Job Title: Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical

Pay Rate From: $57/hr
Area: Med/Surg Stroke & Stepdown Unit

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for an exciting opportunity in Utica NY. The ideal candidate will have strong Med/Surg Stroke and Stepdown experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical experience

• Required experience in Stroke and Stepdown units

• Must have documented prior travel experience

• Required EMR: EPIC

• Active RN license in NY

• Required: BLS (ACLS preferred)

• Strong clinical assessment patient care and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg and Stroke Stepdown patients

• Monitor vital signs neurological status and complex clinical changes

• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care

• Assist with stroke protocols rapid assessments and emergent care when needed

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC

• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
