NOTE: A Term position is a staff position that exists for a period longer than six months but is not expected to last beyond one year. Although a position may exist for a specified or indefinite period staff who accept term positions are not guaranteed employment for the entire period; they are employed for indefinite periods within the limit of the appointment. There are no guarantees of continued employment either within the term or when the term ends.
Overview
Vanderbilt Peabody College seeks an experienced and dynamic Digital Learning Project Manager to coordinate the development and launch of five online degree programs and several online micro- credentials. This role is pivotal in managing collaborative efforts across programs departments and external vendors. They will work with faculty in the five departments across Peabody College: department of teaching and learning (DTL) human and organizational development (HOD) psychology and human development (PHD) special education (SPED) and leadership policy and organizations (LPO). They will also coordinate with the AdvancED team at Vanderbilt and various external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management (10%)
- Use models such as ADDIE SAMI and others to project manage the design and development of allprograms.
- Collaborate with vendors media professionals and project stakeholders to ensure deadlines scope and budgetary constraints are met for learning mediaproduction.
- Monitor project tasks to ensure completion according toschedule.
Program Management (40%)
- Provide support for the development and execution of the Universitys new online degree programs and micro-credentialofferings.
- Engage in strategic initiatives aiding in the development of programmatic frameworks and operational processes.
Project Management (50%)
- Manage end-to-end complex learning initiatives ensuring projects move efficiently from ideation through design development delivery andevaluation.
- Work closely with faculty understanding academic schedules and workflows to facilitate project success.
- Draft and present project status reports to leadership andstakeholders.
- Collaborate using project management tools such as for task assignment status updates and capacityplanning.
- Strong written and verbal communicationskills.
- Proven track record in managing complex project workflows delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in higher education or educationalorganizations.
- Proficiency in Google Applications Microsoft Office and project management tools such as orSlack.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications in project management ().
- Graduate degree related to educational technology instructional design or projectmanagement.
- Knowledge of learning sciences and educationaldevelopment/pedagogy.
- Experience with online and hybrid learning instructional design theory andmethodology.
- Ability to conduct research into market trends andbenchmarking.
