This role sits within UNSW Planning and Performance (UPP) to build capability in business intelligence and planning managing robust data through its enterprise data warehouse Information Hub and Data and Information Governance.

As Senior Data Engineer (Student Equity) your focus will be designing building and supporting data pipelines across student equity information utilising UNSWs data to inform the priorities of the Student Equity team within the Division of Societal Impact Equity and Engagement (DSIEE). This includes data ingestion transformation and ensuring systems are reliable sustainable and aligned with platform architecture and the business needs of the Student Equity Team.
Working closely with the Student Equity team you will be building and maintaining a comprehensive suite of dashboards that facilitate institution-wide access to critical insights across the retention and academic success of students from equity cohorts and alternative pathways.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Insight Analytics & Data and a dotted line to the Student Equity team to oversee the delivery of complex system solutions that establish effective student equity data delivery.
Who you are:With demonstrated experience across data engineering modelling and data warehouse management you will be confident in ensuring ongoing efficient data pipelines stable deployments and high-performing systems that support effective data visualisation and stakeholder insights.
