Manager of Transportation

Full-time

12 Month Position

Districtwide

This is an administrative position which reports directly to the Assistant Superintendent for District Operations and Services.

The Manager of Transportation is responsible for the overall strategic direction planning coordination administration and evaluation of the Transportation Department functions at the District. The Manager of Transportation is responsible for developing and ensuring effective implementation of plans systems policies and processes for the department ensuring the safe and timely transportation needs of all students that the district services.

Qualifications:Bachelors degree in transportation management logistics or related field (preferred).Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (preferred).Extensive experience in transportation management preferably in an educational knowledge of local state and federal regulation related to student experience demonstrating excellence organizational problem-solvingdecision-making team management and customer service with maintenance repair and operation of school buses and vehicles fueling regulation and other garage and proficiency in using transportation management software and to work flexible hours and adapt to changing demands.

The selected candidate shall be chosen based on credentials the ability to demonstrate job functions and the successful completion of a series of interviews along with meeting all local commensurate with experience and knowledge.
