Our client is a leading Canadian law firm with offices nationwide recognized for excellence in legal services and client care. They are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support a Litigation Construction and Commercial Group Practice for a maternity leave replacement starting in December or January for a 1-year term. This role involves coordinating workflow managing administrative tasks and providing essential support to lawyers in meeting client and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative
- Manage calendars and schedule meetings.
- Book travel and handle related logistics.
- Organize files and records including opening/closing files and filing requirements.
- Conduct conflict searches with assistance.
- Support marketing activities including pitches and presentations.
Communication
- Handle internal and external telephone queries.
- Monitor and direct emails appropriately.
- Coordinate absences and arrange coverage.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain client contacts in CRM.
- Arrange client meetings and calls.
- Support client queries and general tasks.
Document Production
- Review and proofread legal documents and presentations.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets.
Financial Billing
- Support billing processes generate reports and assist with payments.
Key Competencies
- Certificate in Legal Administrative Assistance.
- 25 years experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Word skills required).
- Exceptional communication organization and multi-tasking abilities.
Salary Range: $55000$73000 (based on experience location and other factors).
