Commercial Auto Claims Examiner
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Auto Claims Examiner to join a team. This is a fully remote temp-to-hire position with an initial 90 day period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling commercial auto claims including experience with bodily injury and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims. This role involves managing a high-volume caseload evaluating injury demands negotiating settlements and handling attorney-represented claims. Compensation Package
- Hourly Rate: $37 - $40 per hour
- Type: Temp-to-hire (90 days)

Responsibilities
As a Commercial Auto Claims Examiner your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing non-litigated commercial auto claims across the United States.
- Handling an average caseload of 150 features (approximately 100 claims).
- Conducting thorough investigations of losses and identifying coverage issues.
- Taking detailed recorded statements from insureds claimants and other relevant parties.
- Evaluating injury demands and negotiating settlements for bodily injury and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims.
- Handling attorney-represented claims and litigated injury claims (preferred).
- Reviewing estimates evidence reports and medical records to establish damages and reserves.
- Processing payments and maintaining claim files in accordance with best practices.
- Obtaining and maintaining all required state licenses including Texas and Florida licenses (if not already held).
Qualifications/Requirements
To be considered for this role candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree (required).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience handling commercial auto claims.
- At least 1 year of experience handling litigated injury claims (preferred but not required).
- Proven expertise in evaluating injury demands negotiating settlements and handling attorney-represented claims.
- Licensing:
- Must hold a valid home state adjuster license.
- Ability to obtain Texas and Florida licenses (costs covered by the company).
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in investigating coverage writing coverage letters and presenting files in discussions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Knowledge
- Familiarity with commercial vehicle policy symbols and their meanings.
- Experience handling trucking short/long haul interstate cargo claims in-tow limo airport shuttles and non-emergency transport vehicle accounts.
- Knowledge of property damage claims and the ability to set reserves effectively.
