Fountain Tire is looking for an Accounting Assistant with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to join our Finance team (Mine Service Tire Country and National Accounts)at our South Edmonton Head Office!
This is a full-time term position with an expected duration of November 24 2025 until June 30 2026

Specifically the Accounting Assistant will:
- Provide guidance on accounting transactions processes and resolve related queries.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and accruals to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile inventory accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Complete month-end processes by specified deadlines including checklist items.
- Analyze financial data report significant issues to the Accounting Manager and suggest resolutions.
- Support annual budget process assist with inventory counts and provide audit support.
- Manage national account invoicing billing discrepancies and maintain accurate sub-ledger balances.
What does it take to succeed
- College Diploma with a major in Accounting and at least one year of Accounting experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) software and demonstrated ability to accurately enter data
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with various levels within an organization; this includes excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in order to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing demands within tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment as well as individually.
