What youll be doing

As a CIBC team member the Analyst IT Quality Assurance is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios and scripts for functional system integration and acceptance testing for platforms in compliance with established controls and standards. The role works in multiple technical areas to perform various assignments employing diverse skillset. The Analyst IT Quality Assurance works cooperatively with others to achieve synergies and accomplish common goals defining and documenting criteria for testing and presenting results to achieve established goals and objectives following the defined testing methodology. The role is often required to interpret policies standards and requirements to meet work objectives developing and executing test cases scenarios and scripts using test tools to identify and verify result addition the role seeks out new assignments to learn and develop contributing valuable ideas for the team within defined parameters.

How youll succeed

  • Testing expertise Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.

  • Leadership skills Provide advice to your team including ongoing feedback support and identify potential issues throughout all test phases and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.

  • Project coordination Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a projects timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the the lines of communication open with stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received approved and aligned with your projects timeline budget and goals.
