Senior Data Integrator

Location: Anderlecht (Hybrid minimum 2 days/week onsite)
Contract: 6-month initial contract with possible extension

About the Role

For our client active in the insurance sector we are looking for a Data Integrator to design develop and maintain high-quality ETL solutions that transform complex business data into actionable insights.
You will play a key role in supporting enterprise information management business intelligence machine learning and data science initiatives by ensuring data accuracy efficiency and performance across our platforms.

As part of this role you will design and optimize data models data vaults data marts and data lakes on SQL and NoSQL platforms ensuring that all solutions are robust scalable and aligned with architectural standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design implement and maintain physical data models and data pipelines.

• Gather and translate integration requirements to ensure data aligns with business and end-user needs.

• Ensure solutions are scalable performant maintainable and secure.

• Define and apply standards tools and best practices for data integration.

• Maintain and improve existing data processes and ETL workflows.

• Investigate and troubleshoot potential issues providing effective solutions.

• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation.

Technical Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• Strong hands-on experience with ETL tools (preferably IBM DataStage).

• Excellent knowledge of database platforms: DB2 Netezza.

• Advanced SQL skills (query optimization stored procedures DDL etc.).

• Experience with relational databases (IBM DB2 LUW).

• Familiarity with data warehouse appliances (e.g. Netezza).

• Working knowledge of Atlassian tools: JIRA Confluence Bitbucket.

• Experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (TWS).

• Strong UNIX scripting skills (KSH SH PERL or Python).

• Understanding of Agile principles and development practices.

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of data modelling principles: Conceptual Logical & Physical Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling.

• Understanding of testing principles and test case design.

• Familiarity with ITIL framework and change management practices.

• Experience with OLAP NoSQL databases or Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS Spark Hive Sqoop etc.).

• Exposure to Big Data Machine Learning or AI concepts.

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau).

Languages

• Dutch or French: Native with good command of the other.
