These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner in accordance with the mission values and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care service and kindness toward all patients staff physicians volunteers and guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review prepare and verify chemotherapy and targeted therapy orders for accuracy safety and compliance.
  • Provide medication counseling to patients and families helping them understand complex treatment regimens side effects and adherence strategies.
  • Collaborate with oncologists nurses and multidisciplinary teams to optimize treatment plans and improve outcomes.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy adjust recommendations and prevent adverse drug events.
  • Stay current withoncologydrug developments clinical guidelines and emerging therapies.
  • Staff in inpatient pharmacy as needed

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

A. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge:
  • Education:Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree.
  • Licensure:Active and unrestrictedpharmacistlicense (Board Certification inOncologyPharmacy BCOP preferred but not required).
  • Experience:Prior experience inoncology hematology or hospital pharmacy
