Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review prepare and verify chemotherapy and targeted therapy orders for accuracy safety and compliance.
- Provide medication counseling to patients and families helping them understand complex treatment regimens side effects and adherence strategies.
- Collaborate with oncologists nurses and multidisciplinary teams to optimize treatment plans and improve outcomes.
- Monitor patient responses to therapy adjust recommendations and prevent adverse drug events.
- Stay current withoncologydrug developments clinical guidelines and emerging therapies.
- Staff in inpatient pharmacy as needed
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
A. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge:
- Education:Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree.
- Licensure:Active and unrestrictedpharmacistlicense (Board Certification inOncologyPharmacy BCOP preferred but not required).
- Experience:Prior experience inoncology hematology or hospital pharmacy
