Position Summary

The University of Southern Indiana invites applications from experienced professionals for a 12-month tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Health Administration and Community Health with a primary focus in health administration. This position is housed within the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions and will begin July 1 2026.

Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach undergraduate courses in health administration and community health with a clear emphasis on health administration.
  • Maintain an active program of research and scholarly activity in health administration health care systems or other relevant health-related fields.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship that supports student success and professional development in health administration.
  • Contribute meaningful service to the University the profession and the broader community.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Earned doctorate in a health-related field. Candidates in the process of completing a doctoral degree will be considered. The successful candidate must possess a doctoral degree by the start date of employment.
  • Demonstrated interest experience or scholarship in health administration.
  • Evidence of effective team-oriented collaboration.
  • Ongoing commitment to teaching scholarship and service.
