Cardiac Management brings all of our cardiac and vascular businesses together into one cross-functional collaborative operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent technologies products services and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients across the globe.

Cardiac Rhythm Management offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.

We are looking for a talented Sr. Software Cloud Engineer for our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Software division. This role will be responsible for development on a cloud native microservice based system.

With some good core processes already in place using AWS Kubernetes Kafka and HBASE this role is looking to round out an already high performing team with this hire.

• Develop software and solutions across the stack that improve product reliability and product velocity
• Collaborate with team to design Simple Scalable and Reliable solutions.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and participate in blameless post-mortems and follow-through
• Have a passion for product engineering mindset where the customer might be an internal or external customer

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Requires a Baccalaureate degree
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Masters degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.

Nice to Have:

• 4 years of experience delivering software using C# Java or similar languages
• 2 years of experience in a public cloud environment (preferably AWS)
• 2 years of experience developing applications leveraging Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source code control and artifact tooling (git JFrog )
• Experience with SQL
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
• 2 years of experience leveraging Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
• 2 years using DevSecOps practices with systems/service engineering and release management.
• Refactoring a monolith into microservices
• Experience with monitoring stacks (ELK Dynatrace CloudWatch CloudTrail Prometheus )
• Experience using BDD and Gherkin
• Experience at a Medical Device company.
