Job Summary
The Night Shift Manager plays a critical leadership role overseeing nightly operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position manages a team of 5070 employees ensuring shelves are fully replenished inventory is stocked accurately and production is set up for success the next day. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strong operational skills people management experience and high emotional intelligence to motivate and support staff during resource-lean night hours.
This role requires hands-on leadership excellent workflow oversight and the ability to quickly troubleshoot issues to maintain efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of 5070 night shift employees in the Overstack Department.
- Ensure all inventory is replenished and ready for the next days operations.
- Maintain efficient production flow and resolve delays promptly.
- Serve as the main point of communication for night operations and coordinate with the day shift team for smooth transitions.
- Enforce safety procedures and conduct regular checks to ensure a compliant work environment.
- Oversee equipment functionality and coordinate with maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Track performance attendance and productivity; drive continuous improvement.
- Motivate coach and mentor team members; maintain a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing logistics or production.
- Strong knowledge of production workflows and safety protocols.
- Proven leadership experience managing large teams in high-volume environments.
- Excellent communication skills and strong emotional intelligence.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial machinery is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to fast-changing needs.
